Preschool & Kindergarten Screening

Our preschool and kindergarten students will attend a screening on Tuesday, August 18th or Wednesday, August 19th. Families will come to Seven Mile Elementary during their designated time slot with their child. These screenings simply help our teaching team get to know each child's unique strengths and needs. It allows us to balance our classrooms evenly and prepare the most supportive, engaging learning environment possible for the upcoming school year. Families will accompany their child to the school during their designated time slot. Here is everything you need to know to ensure a smooth, stress-free visit:
- Each child is scheduled for a 30-minute time slot. Because we run right on schedule, please plan to arrive about 5 minutes early to check in at the main office.
- Please reassure your child (and yourself!) this is not a test of any kind. There is absolutely no pressure!
- Think of this as a relaxed, game-like check-in. Our staff will briefly get to know your child, look at shapes and colors, and chat with your child. We are just looking at where they are right now with early concepts, speech, and fine/gross motor skills.
